Botanical Professor Carl Linnaeus made his private ‘Lecture Chair` in 1741, after Linnaeus was inspired by library chairs from foreign monasteries in 12th century and later university libraries in 18th century in Leiden - Netherland.

Sweden´s first Ecolog - Carl Linnaeus - created his private lecture chair in 100% wood, very characterful and comfortable, which he used in daily bases for his ‘private lectures’ at his private home in Uppsala.

The antique Original Lecture Chair is still exposed at his private home at ‘Linnaeus Hammarby’ and once made by a local carpenter in 1741. Today we also carpet his historical replica from 1741 and only for true Linnaeus friends.
